Travis Eaton

Certified Professional Coach, Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner, Myers Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner

As a veteran, I spent seven year in the U.S. Army Infantry. I joined the military fresh out of high school and within six months of joining, I was in Afghanistan for my first deployment. The military taught me so many skills and lessons but most importantly, it taught me how to be a leader. It awoken a trait in me, that I never knew existed.

You see, I grew up with a difficult family life. My dad spent most of his life dealing drugs and could barely hold a job. My mother worked two jobs to raise me. They would fight a lot, which left me with a lot of fear that I’m still processing. Also, being an only child, it was just me, essentially raising myself. I had to do things like teach myself to tie my own shoes at a young age. It was difficult for me to make friends and express myself because I was in fear of my parenting fighting and had no really male role models I could learn from as a child.

The Infantry gave me structure, family and friends that I lacked as a child, Eventually I departed after my last tour to Afghanistan. I pursuit an education in psychology and studying human behavior. I wanted to help people on a deeper level that didn’t involve an M4. After many years, I started True Life Coaching with Travis Eaton.
